Injectable treatments have begun to gain traction among men in recent years. These treatments are designed to help fill in wrinkles and fine lines, adding a subtle masculine definition and contour to the face without the need for downtime or surgery. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are uniquely suited to correct dynamic wrinkles or wrinkles caused by facial movements.
These agents block the chemical message from nerves to the muscles of facial expression to soften existing and prevent future lines and wrinkles of the skin. Frown lines between the eyes, crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes and horizontal forehead lines can all be improved with the use of neuromodulators. Dr. Horton expertly takes years off your appearance while preserving the male aesthetic.
We also offer our male clients Bellafill, Voluma lift, and Sculptra to add volume to the skin, physically filling in other types of wrinkles and rejuvenating collagen stores.
The male brow is different than the female brow. Eyebrows should maintain a horizontal position and the forehead muscles treated sparingly to prevent brow ptosis (the cave man forehead look). A reasonably smooth forehead that is relatively flat is more masculine and youthful.
The male jawline should be square and firm with minimal jowling. Careful use of neuromodulators and facial fillers, as well as skin tightening and Novathread lift, can define the jawline and give a more masculine facial profile.
Masseter Reduction (Facial Slimming)
Some men have over developed masseter muscles ( the chewing muscles) that can widen the appearance of the face. Treatment of the masseter muscles with neuromodulators causes progressive thinning of these muscles and slims the facial profile.
Chin Augmentation with Facial Fillers
Chin augmentation with facial fillers has become a safe and effective way to give the chin more definition and many men find this non-surgical enhancement more desirable than traditional surgery. Many facial fillers can be used including Radiesse, Voluma, and Bellafill. The choice depends on desired durability and cost.

Intense Pulse Light
Skin photo rejuvenation with Intense pulse light is a great value. Done in a series of three treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart, brown spot (hyperpigmentation) and broken capillaries can all be reduced or eliminated with this light based treatment. Chilled air blown across the skin surface makes the procedure well tolerated. Periodic repeat treatments one to two times a year help maintain the improvements in skin color, texture, tone and tightness.
We offer our male patients a variety of skin rejuvenation procedures that stimulate the growth of healthy, youthful new skin. Our Dermapen Microneedling procedure stimulates this healing through the creation of hundreds of tiny micro-injuries that trigger the production of collagen and elastin. Both our Fractora and TRIPOLLAR® therapies trigger this same response, but through the use of radiofrequency energy.
Chemical peels stimulate the regrowth of new skin but using different compounds to peel back the uppermost layers of the skin. This procedure is minimally invasive and can also effectively reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines, and wrinkles.
We also offer our clients a wide variety of facials that can cleanse and hydrate the skin. We offer a specialized Gentleman’s facial that is tailored to address the specifics problems and needs of men’s skin. This facial can help counteract some of the negative effects of shaving.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement
One of the most common challenges men face as they age is hormonal imbalances. This imbalance can contribute significantly to the advancement of the signs of aging, and can cause loss of skeletal height, lower muscle mass, as well as poor concentration and mental aptitude. Through bioidentical hormone therapy, we can assess which of your hormones are imbalanced and correct this disparity.
Andropause, low testosterone can begin as young as 30 years of age, but older men are more likely to have lower testosterone levels. Decreases in muscle strength and endurance, as well as poor erections, are seen in men with low testosterone levels. Clinical symptoms can be evaluated with questionnaires. When serum testosterone levels are less than 300 ( normal 300-1000) and the clinical picture supports androgen deficiency, the diagnosis can be easily made. There are several routes of testosterone administration from topical creams and gels to weekly or biweekly injections. Dr. Horton has partnered with a Hoye’s Pharmacy, a PCAB approved compounding pharmacy as the source for your bioidentical hormones and compounded medications.
There are many factors involved in a mutually satisfying sexual relationship. Dr. Horton has extensive experience with sexual health issues including Erectile Dysfunction. These issues are addressed and treated in a confidential and professional manner and when appropriate pharmaceutical agents such as sildenafil, tadalafil, oxytocin and testosterone supplementation can be prescribed to improve your sexual health.
